Missions to Quihà Hospital usually last on average about two to three weeks and are organised so as to guarantee at least one mission per month. Surgery and paediatric surgery teams are currently involved. A basic team is formed by: at least two surgeons – an experienced team leader and a second surgeon – an anesthetist and a surgical nurse. Other skilled doctors specialised in orthopaedics, gynaecology,  etc.,  as well as students specializing in surgery, in clinical diagnostics, orthodontics, internal medicine, paediatrics, infectious diseases etc.,  as well as other health professions such as nurses, laboratory technicians, pharmacists etc.  are often associated to the basic team.
